We recently partnered with CBS Networks UK to rebrand the Horror Channel. Each ident references scenes from iconic Horror films, reimagined by director Chris Turner. 

The project should be going live in the coming weeks, so keep an eye on the website and subscribe here to see it hot off the press!

The countdown is on to the annual PromaxBDA conference !

This year the event is being held in sunny Los Angeles… The week will be a buzz of catching up with friends and colleagues, listening to the stellar line up of speakers and viewing all of the brilliant work produced over the past 12 months.

Richard will be sharing his thoughts and insights on the secrets of original thinking, so please keep an eye on the schedule to join us at his session.

We’re really happy to share our latest project with you – a new brand identity for CBS Reality, a channel which opens a window into the lives of extraordinary people. For the idents we created ten portraits of exceptional individuals; from a former inmate of the UK’s toughest jails who is now an acclaimed write, to a woman who lost both her legs to a rare flesh eating illness and now studies molecular biology between modelling work.

We also developed a full on screen presentation system from coloured ink in water shot at super high speed.

Coming up with a great idea is hard. Coming up with a great idea in next to no time doubly so. This March Richard will be presenting a session at PromaxBDA in Amsterdam on simple steps you can take to hunt down a great idea once the clock is against you.

Using insights gleaned from artists, musicians, film makers and others, he’ll encourage the audience to make mistakes, turn things upside down and always use a pencil. If he doesn’t run out of time.

We are delighted to have won our first D&AD pencil as Holman + Hunt with our AMC UK launch spot – Storyteller – featuring Bryan Cranston.

The spot, which won in Best Writing for Channel Branding & Identity category, was written and directed by our very own Richard Holman.

It’s one of a three part series all using the same script.

In the second, the poem is read by a young boy walking through the strange nowhere land that is Dungeness. In the third we see Frank Dillane of ‘Fear the Walking Dead’ deliver the poem in an abandoned warehouse overlaid with projections.

It was a real joy working with Chris Sharp, Matt Stott and the team at AMC on this campaign.
